On-line comes automatically with a 15% tip, with options on 20 or 25%. (to give a sandwich in a brown paper bag is not worthy of a 15% tip.) in all honesty they get a better sandwich at $2.00 cheaper at Buc-ees (no tip asked either)
If I could only give 10 stars! Not only is the food delicious we had the Carolina bbq-plentiful, delicious and seasoned to perfection with tasty collard greens and a huge generously loaded baked potato) but the service from Tamara was friendly, attentive just amazing. On top of it all we left a windbreaker and James the manager took the extra time and effort to mail it to us. Well run and managed. Thanks for everything!
We absolutely love the food it's amazing. My favorites are the mac n cheese. the best in town and their bbq pork salad it's outstanding!! Their sweet tea is better than any restaurant in town and most than anyone could make at home. My husband Is a huge fan of the ribs, he too! The stuffed potatoes are so large and delicious. The little cheese biscuits themselves are worth the drive. We've never been disappointed with the Trussville location.
My family lives in Southern Alabama and we do not have a Red Robin or a Jim N Nick's. It was an hour+ wait at the Red Robin so we decided on Jim N Nick's where it was only 15 minutes. We are so glad we did! The atmosphere was great, nice and cozy with the smell of barbecue wafting through. The prices were decent and the staff were very nice. We started with onion rings and their cheese biscuits. The cheese biscuits were excellent, a lovely mix of sweet and savory that we were super excited about. The onion rings were great, the others in my party especially enjoyed them. I didnt mind them, I thought they were good but I'm partial to the battered-style onion rings. For an entrée I got a burger as I'm not a huge fan of barbecue and I loved it! Fries were nice and crispy as well. Another in my party got soup and salad and she enjoyed both. The soup was the Briskett and Chilli which had a little bit of an unexpected bite in the spice department but was not unwelcome. And the last in my group got the Briskett sandwich that he thoroughly enjoyed, and got some extra barbecue sauce which he also liked. The barbecue sauce also had a bit of a bite which he was happy with. We were sad to be so full at the end of the meal, as we really wanted to try the banana pudding. Any self-respecting southern family loves a good banana pudding. Our waiter had no problem packing it to go for us! Though we *had* to try a bite before we left and it was SO good! We can totally understand why it was so packed, and more amazed that they were getting us into a table in a suitable amount of time, being served quickly, and not compromising quality or service. Sadly we do not have a Jim N Nick's in Mobile, AL but we definitely know where we'll love to stop when we're near one again!
We came here specifically for brisket. We ordered and 10 minutes later the waitress (who vastly lacked personality overall) came back and told us they didn't have brisket... I don't eat pork or catfish and really don't like smoked poultry so I froze and was like... I think I'm good. She pressed so I said, I guess I'll just have that mac cheese side. I was honestly surprised to find that she charged me for it as being without your most expensive meat is bad form in itself...
