My family and I have dined there three times already, and each visit left us unable to enjoy a decent meal. On all three occasions, our food was either overcooked or undercooked. Once, we even had to wait for 45 minutes before receiving our order, prompting us to leave and go to Huddle House instead. The quality of the food at Struts is subpar, plain and simple.
I ordered a Reuben sandwich for my main course, and it arrived promptly. The sandwich was hot, but I was not satisfied with the dark color of the meat, which differed from other Reubens I have had at different restaurants. My daughter was disappointed with her Moscow mule, which took a long time to be served. We ordered coffee to warm up on the cold day, but the first cup was only lukewarm. When I asked for a fresh pot to be made, it was done promptly. Overall, the restaurant was average and seemed to have an off day during our visit. It may be expected since it is located within walking distance of the stadium.
We enjoy dining at this restaurant when we return for JSU football games. We dined here tonight to celebrate a graduation. The food was delicious, but the service was a little slow. However, it didn't bother us as we were catching up with family.
The hamburger steak was flavorful. All side dishes compliment well. The only downside was Monday night bingo draws a crowd which was noisy for the intent of my visit but no biggie. Loved the food!!!
