Yo' Mama's - Birmingham

We found this place by searching for gluten free restaurants on our way through Birmingham. You can't imagine how thrilling it was to find food that was not only gluten free but fantastic. We both ordered the g free fried chicken and waffles. They do not disappoint. Our only mistake was not ordering something to take for the road. Wish we had this place in Houston. It is fabulous.

I literally love this place every time I order it’s always correct and the staff is so nice. The food is more than delicious and the menu is small just like a good one should be. They really have it together and they’re in my Top 5 of regular places I’ll go for breakfast!

I never imagined that gluten-free food could be so delicious! I had the chicken and fries, along with a slice of chocolate cake. I'm really glad my friend discovered this restaurant; we finally have a great place to dine!

Not only is it gluten-free, but it might just be the best soul food we've ever tasted! What a delightful experience!

Every time we visit Birmingham, this is our go-to restaurant! The food is a delightful experience for your taste buds! I have to say, when you see diverse crowds enjoying a meal at a black-owned restaurant in the South, you know it’s good! No offense intended: I truly love supporting black-owned businesses, and when they exceed expectations, it’s incredibly rewarding. My children learned the importance of supporting quality black-owned businesses with excellent service during our visit. We will definitely return.
