Feedback gevenThe drive-thru management at this restaurant was extremely lacking. We were forced to leave because our lane was not moving, while the lane next to us was being served.
We decided to have lunch at this McDonald's location. Like most McDonald's, they encourage you to use the display boards to place your order, which can be a bit frustrating. The service was quick and friendly, something you don't always experience at fast food restaurants. The food was as good as expected and the tables were clean.
I visited this restaurant before heading to a pantomime in the city center. There was a very helpful gentleman working there who provided table service. It was the best McDonald's experience I have ever had.
I 'm perplexed by the advertisement of this McDonald 's as a 24 hour restaurant. This seems to be only true if you 're ordering takeout or using the drive thru. I could not be served at this restaurant because I wasn 't allowed in. I was not given an explanation for this, I was literally just gestured at by a member of staff through the door. So I still don 't know what the branch 's policy is. Why isn 't it clearly stated? This restaurant is located in Edgbaston, where the University of Birmingham is. It stands to reason that many potential customers do not have access to a vehicle. If you 're unable to accommodate walk-in orders 24/7, you are not a 24/7 McDonald 's. You are losing customers with this business model. Moreover, McDonald 's should be striving to reduce its carbon footprint. Making customers use their cars to order achieves the opposite of this. And don 't get me started on the delivery apps like Deliveroo etc. Of course I 'm under no illusions that McDonald 's is an ethical franchise. But there 's limited options for affordable food at nighttime so it would be great if I could actually make use of this 'open ' restaurant when I 'm passing by.
I was to commend the staff at the McDonald’s at 5 Bristol Road for their professionalism. They dealt with an extremely rude man who was shouting at every staff member in such a calm and professional manner. The actions of the man were completely out of order and I’m sorry that the staff have to deal with encounters like that. Your staff are a credit to the store.
