Mellow's Bar Restaurant - Birmingham

Amazing first experince for myself, food was nice and portion size was big. Its ashame i never had enough time to fully enjoy it. Atmosphere and vibes 10/10 staff were very friendly and respectful . The only issue was x1 order was slightly wrong. We highlighted this as a learning curve rather than criticism but definitely we'd go back when we can, to spend more time in Birmingham the train strikes impacted this. Thank you very much.

What can I say? I had been eager to try the jerk salmon after organizing a family gathering, and it certainly did not disappoint. The lamb and curry goat were also delightful. The food arrived piping hot, and the portion sizes were generous. In fact, my mom took home a doggy bag wrapped in classic cling film because she couldn’t finish her meal. The service was excellent; they were able to seat us at adjoining tables, which we really appreciated. Even though a few of our guests arrived late, they accommodated everyone and ensured our dishes came out in a timely manner. The desserts were wonderful, with the apple crumble being the standout favorite and the chocolate brownie not far behind. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy well-presented Caribbean cuisine; it’s truly on another level and offers a relaxed atmosphere. There is a parking lot just five minutes away, which I recommend using, as the area around the restaurant is residential and you risk getting a ticket if you park in front of someone’s house. Just be aware that you'll need to download the RingGo app to pay for parking.

I like this place… Popped in yesterday for lunch with two of my friends and was thrilled to go to a black owned restaurant that offered ambiance, personalised customer service, great food and wicked music… I opted for the jerk chicken pasta dish and it was real nice… The portion size was big so I took half of it home. Easy to get to from Edgbaston Village tram stop and would recommend you book a table before going. Respect to DJ our lovely waiter and all the staff who were courteous and relaxed.

Great vibe and atmosphere in this place. Very nice staff there. Food was really nice my favourite is the sweet chilli wings (starter dish). They have very nice cocktails here! Would definitely recommend and would go back. A little pricey.
