Poplar Balti - Birmingham

Fantastic food, brilliant meal, proper balti house. Top marks especially for the chutney selection and chilli sauce.

Just awesome. One of the best balti we had in the UK. Keema nan, mix grill platter all were of great authentic taste. Certainly recommend.

The food was terrible, greasy, dry, and raw. The chips were inedible and ended up in the garbage. When I called to complain, they showed no interest in addressing the issue. I will never eat there again.

I have been dining at Poplar Balti for years, as well as other restaurants in the area. When it comes to Balti or similar cuisine, there is no one better than them. I have noticed some negative reviews from complainers, but I believe they may have been seeking freebies or a complimentary meal.

Before the lockdown, we frequented Poplar Balti often and always enjoyed it. Now, we have been ordering takeout for delivery. We miss the experience of dining in the restaurant and especially loved the family naans. However, getting a takeaway is the next best option. My go-to order of onion bhaji, Chicken dopiaza balti with a plain naan never disappoints.
