Urban Espresso and Wine - BIRTINYA

This caffe is well hidden from the street at the back of a private hospital. there is a pleasant view over the lake (if you can see the right way! and very quiet as it is well away from the road. we have asked our coffee... “hot” and it has certainly arrived very hot. the menu is not big, but covers quite easy to interesting eg haloumi with cauliflower, dukkha and relish.

Today marked the first day for the new owners, Annalis and Anthony Broad, at the cafe, now known as Urban Food. The brunch was exceptional, featuring a delicious start page of granola with fresh fruits and yogurt, followed by fried eggs with baked tomatoes and speck. The coffee was also a new brand and fantastic. It seems like everything was baked on-site. These talented young chefs, who recently arrived from WA, are truly amazing. I am excited to try more of their creations in the future.

No kidding, this place is on the ground floor of Kawana private hospital. We stopped for lunch which was excellent. Just $13.50 for smoked salmon, avocado, two poached eggs (perfectly poached I might add), rocket tomato salad on toasted Turkish bread. A satisfying meal,...this time I think I chose the best option. There is also outside seating overlooking the lake. Very popular with locals very busy by about 12:30, especially on a Friday. A steady stream of burgers, chips salad went by, next time I will not have breakfast try one of those. Bon appetit !

Dropped in here for some brekky during a recent visit to the Sunny coast and was pleasantly surprised. You could easily miss this place as it's on the ground floor of the hospital building with not heaps of signage outside, but the meals and drinks...were really well presented and excellent value. Service was prompt and friendly, heaps of seating inside and out, and all in all a very pleasant dining experience!

Tucked on the ground floor of Kawana Hospital, indoor outdoor seating with water views. Offers both breakfast lunch menus at a very reasonable price. Breakfast is served until 11am. Quiche, obviously homemade, came with homemade tomato relish the calamari salad was excellent,...really tender calamari. Coffee was excellent. Service very helpful friendly. Can't wait for my next check up ! Also provides a small conference room suitable for medical meetings etc.
