Lucky Fortune Restaurant

After traveling for a while from Gros Morne, we checked into the Brookdale Country Inn. They recommended we go next door for a bite to eat. Prices were fair and plate was plentiful. The waitress checked on us several times and was very pleasant.

We went there for supper twice. Both time the atmosphere was nice, and the food was high quality. We had Chinese style food the first time and it was first rate. The second time we had Fish and chips. We had wanted to try their chicken but they were out. The fries were outstanding and the fish was pretty good. I was so happy that I tracked down the information I would require to create a entry with Trip Adviser. More trouble then I would usually go to.

Food is good. Building is old but decently clean. Just run down. They're very friendly. Her English is poor but she tries very hard to understand. Also more then willing to cook dishes meat free. They're ice cream is good! But they only serve it in the summer.

Very close to where we stayed in Bishops Falls so wandered down for something to eat. Nothing wrong with the food just didn't have the "wow" factor which our local Chinese has!

We're here for dinner. we ordered from the construction of your own section. We had a combination of chicken balls, honey garlic ribs, chicken chow mine, egg rolls, chicken roast rice, egg foo yung.
