The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is consistently exceptional, and the food is absolutely outstanding. We've always had great experiences here and are eagerly anticipating our next visit! It's a perfect spot for lunch, date nights, casual dinners, and it's also kid-friendly, which is a huge bonus.
Had the daily special of Mahi Mahi tacos and the Plum Tuckered pizza. The pizza had lemon ricotta base, pork belly, arugula and plums. It was fantastic!
Excellent craft beer selection there were at least five dark, specialty (think barrel aged) beers on tap to choose from. Large portions, good food, terrific service. Pro Tip: many dishes (and the bread) are heavy on the garlic so if you are not a garlic fan ask your server to have them hold back especially on the added cloves.
I love the pasta here. I had Cajun Tetrazzini and I enjoyed every morsel of it. In fact, everything we had was tasty. The tuna was cooked how we want it. The drinks were okay. I like that they try not to offer elevated bar food the way most pubs are doing these days but make excellent dishes. I wouldn’t say they’re ‘signature’ dishes but they’re really good and worth every buck. We were here on a Saturday night and the place was packed. I appreciate how warm and attentive the bartender was. The waitstaff look sharp so it gives me some some relief that they do take hygiene seriously. The only con I had in my experience at Walrus was that the place was cramped during peak hours. More lighting fixtures could do wonders.
I thought the food was quite good. I had the French dip. Fries were amazing. Service was great. Atmosphere was too dark in my opinion.
