Dirty outdoor eating area ! While we were eating the waitress was picking up rubbish and cigarette ends around our table !! Small menu consisting of mainly prepared foods from other suppliers. Prices were vey expensive compared to other local and far better restaurants. This is a catchpenny for boaters on the canal du Midi !!! We will not go back !

Lou Mercat or Freddie's as it is known to the locals offers plain simple home cooking. There is a menu of the day or a simple Carte with Pizzas. There are no fancy juice just good well cooked food with large portions. By no means sophisticated but it has a local charm. A restaurant frequent by regulars and locals.

We stopped here (from canal boat) and ate at lunchtime. We sat outside in glorious sunshine. We mostly had a selection from the E15 tourist menu. This was good value for money. A good selection for the price. All 8 of us enjoyed our meals. Cuttlefish was tried for the first time by some. All meals were tasty and well cooked. One steak was a bit chewy but tasted great. This is a good place to stop for lunch. The small shop is useful as well. The locals appreciated our conversation in French, despite, I suspect, it's grammatical inaccuracies!

Typical French eatery. Decent plat du jour, Pizzas etc. Good if one wants food without much fuss. Don't expect any big surprises. Nice garden near the Canal du Midi.

We love this little place. Beautifully situated by the canal du midi in Roubia. Popular with passing boats, cyclists and walkers. So peaceful and relaxed. Casual dining under the trees by the bridge. We have had some lovely lunches here many times and have never been disappointed. Hand made pizzas are amazing. The service is excellent and the staff always very pleasant. The restaurant also has a small supermarket.
