The Hop Black Mountain

Five of us walked into tThe Hop at 8:45 pm tonight Friday November 14th and the young man that was working behind the counter looked up at us and said We are closed . The sign on the door and the time on Google maps listed a 9 pm close time. I asked if he would see iv the five of us and he said NO, we close at 8:45 pm . Seeing this is the beginning of the off season in this area I feel this young man is doing a disservice to the owner of this business by turning away cash paying customers.

Only got to order the Vanilla but it was amazing ? hoping to get back to try the Pumpkin! The vegan flavors also looked amazing. So happy we stopped!

The Hop has the very best ice cream I have ever had. The only thing wrong with it is that there are no shops outside of Black Mountain/Asheville. Great selection of flavors, super nice staff, can’t say enough about this ice cream definitely next level in terms of quality. We will definitely stop in every time we are in the area. Make sure to try the Aztec Chocolate, Local Strawberry and Unicorn Poop trust me, it isn’t just for kids!

Chocolate milkshake was more like chocolate milk. Way too much liquid. Consistency is completely wrong. Server was really nice but she was the only one there and there was a large line so did not want to ask her to make it again. Expensive. Don't recommend the shakes.

I had a vegan chocolate milkshake sprinkles, husband had scoops of espresso chip lavender. Everything tasted great
