Glasshouse Cafe - Blackawton

This charming café offers absolutely delicious homemade food at incredibly affordable prices. The portion sizes are generous, and everything is proudly prepared and served by a friendly, polite, and helpful staff. We frequently bring someone who uses a wheelchair, and the access is very convenient. The selection of cakes and pastries, along with their tasty quiches, is so tempting that we always have to take some home with us!

After recovering from a hangover, I visited a national trust site and was pleasantly surprised by a lovely bakery and café area. I was really impressed with the garden center, and the staff were very friendly.

We visited this café after reading some positive reviews about it. While we were there, we spoke with a woman who informed us that everything is homemade. My mother, who follows a gluten-free diet, had the frittata, and I tried the hominy cake. Both dishes came with beautiful salads that featured more than just a strip of lettuce and a slice of tomato. I definitely recommend this place!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Visited in the middle of a snow storm so the delicious coffee and cake were particularly enjoyable. Have previously enjoyed lunch there several times.

Stopped here for lunch and was very impressed! So impressed that I came for lunch the following day! I had a scrummy frittata on day one and a tasty bubble and squeak jacket combo the second. It is clear the home cooking is a selling point here. I particularly liked the interesting side salad that accompanied these meals, far better than the usual lettuce, cucumber and tomato.
