The night before, we had visited for a drink and enjoyed the open mic night, featuring singers, guitarists, a pianist, and accordionist. It was a fantastic evening of talent. Upon our arrival today, we were welcomed by a cozy log fire. The food was as delicious as always - I opted for the sea bass special while my husband enjoyed a mushroom starter and a small cheese and onion pie. We finished with a decadent milk chocolate and blackcurrant cheesecake, my personal favorite. The service was top-notch, with friendly and welcoming staff. Thank you for the wonderful meal and warm atmosphere before we headed back home.
Had a three course meal from the King William's festive menu while sat by a roaring fire and throughly enjoyed each course. Food, service and atmosphere all perfect. We come here often and it never lets us down.
Nice warm welcome and really tasty food on offer. The menu undersold the Sunday roast lunch which was a real tasty home cooked plateful We will definitely return next time we are in the area
I have been coming here for the past 15 years and always had amazing food, service and the atmosphere has been excellent......... until today. All i can say is never again. The service was appalling. Alot of things on the menu were out of stock which i do understand but when you order food and it does not come with 2 main items and you ask why to be told oh we have ran out. Where is the communication here. So we split the bill 2 ways well the boys face at the bar he looked at us like we had 3 heads. I told the girl at the bar about the bad experience to be told oh sorry not even a what happened or sorry
Food wasn't brilliant but when we tried to order more drinks at 8pm we were told that they had cashed up but no-one had asked us about last orders!! wouldn't go back again
