Can’t wait till next season so we can say hello again
We went into the restaurant as it was time for lunch and we did not want to exit the park. We had Nachos and a drink. The prices were reasonable and the food quality was excellent. There were plenty of tables so seating was no problem. Excellent.
The atmosphere in Pleasure Beach is great anyway, but at FY4 when the fountains are on its even better. Love to have a drink or two here, served by the legend that is Bernard. His knowledge of the park is superb and he's always willing to have a chat.
Having spent the day as coat/bag holder to allow others to go on rides, I decided to treat myself to a wee tipple, and went to the bar and asked the lady serving for a gllass of sparkling wine and was stunned by her response we don 't sell glasses . Huh?!?!?! OK .... You do sell wine, right? Yes? Do you sell it by the bottle? NO! OK, so, how do you sell it then? In plastic recepticles with a smile. By this time, I feel in need of a large plastic recepticle. I ask if she has any sparkling wine, and she says she doesn 't know. She know that she has some 'Pin not Grig Got '. I suggest Prosseco or Cava as possibles, but she looks at me blankly. I give up and say that I will take a plastic recepticle of her Pin not Grig got. As she turns back from the fridge, she has a little bottle srapped in gold foil, and says, I 've just found this, would you like this? 'This ' is only an individual bottle of prosecco. So, yes, I would like this. I even overlooked the fact that is was served in a goblet, and not a flute. By this time, I couln 't have cared less .... I just wanted a drink. Whilst sitting and enjoying my long awaited drink, I witnessed the water fountain display. Whilst I wasn 't overly impressed ... a tip to anyone watching .... do not sit at a table next to, or next but one to if it 's windy. When the fountains shoot high, I got showered with spray from the top with the wind. By this time I was ready for another drink .... but I had learned my lesson and decided to go elsewhere.
We had lunch here on the day of our visit, it was very tasty and reasonably priced. Once again, something for everyone with a good selection of different foods!
