The sandwiches are always made with fresh very thick bread, the soup and cakes are homemade. Excellent value for money. Eat here quite a lot and always worth the trip.

Went for lunch with a friend as seen so many good reports. We really enjoyed it, only problem was I had soup, tasted great, but not very hot, didn't say anything as staff were very busy. My friend had a sandwich, chicken, which was very full and tasty, the salad with it was good too. We decided to have the Bakewell tart, which I must say was excellent. A lovely homely atmosphere and will go again

Lovely little place with home baked cakes, superb buttermilk scones, tasty coffee a range of sandwiches all to be had at a very very fair price. You can also choose from a wide variety of gifts all at good prices.

I visit Buttermilk most mornings for my daily hot chocolate. Sometimes I treat myself to a cake. The cakes are all home made in the tea room and they are very well reasonably priced. Lovely friendly service from Helen and Cath. The Christmas Viennese mince pies went down a treat over Christmas. Highly recommended.
