The Squirrel - Blackpool

WOULDN'T BOTHER !!! Being local, we have given The Squirrel so many chances. We return often to see if anything has changed for the better , and I'm sorry to say it just gets worse !. This last visit was the worst ever! Waiting at the bar for a good 5 mins for someone to appear to take our order was the start. We then found a table, everywhere just looks and feels dirty these days ! The tables were tacky and sticky, seats looked and felt grimey ! Not enough cutlery in the pots on the table. We went up for the carvery, no turkey ! just gammon and beef, we should have been informed when ordering ! . Beef was fatty, gammon was dried up, veg's looked sad !!! Gravy was as thick as it was lumpy ! Finally sat down to eat it, it was COLD !!!. Nobody came round to ask if everything was ok with the food. And finally, way too much time and staff being used on DELIVERY SERVICE !!! which in turn is taking away the food from the customers eating in, as we have to wait for food to be replenished !!!

Visit here as much as we can always enjoy the food and always get a great greeting when arriving especially of nicky, we usually have the carvery especially if Adam is on everything is always clean and fresh and fast service would recommend this place if your visiting blackpool.

Not a good variety of food for the carvery. Partner had meat and Yorkshire puddings that’s it. Food was dry not worth the money

Had an amazing night with my boyfriend, Brett hill, but was topped the night off was the amazing service by Molly, but unfortunately it was her last night shift tonight, me and my boyfriend will dearly miss his and will leave a big hole in both our hearts. I hope your rock band works out in California and don't forget about us, you can play at mine and Brett's wedding xxx

We wanted the carvery and ordered one together with a pudding and a bottle of wine. We asked for the glass to be changed as it was dirty another one was brought out that was dirty, so third time lucky. Went to eat our food and I asked where is the beef ? I was told it was sold out. So i settled for the Turkey when i actually wanted beef. Now I think that when we ordered we should have been told there was none. The stuffing was dried up and the gravy had lumps in. Started to eat and found that our meals were barely warm. So asked the staff member to heat them up. Being microwaved it meat that erecting was soggy ad not At all enjoyable. Had to calla member of staff to get our pudding. The young man came wth our pudding and put them down without taking our plates away. He had to get us spoons and then too the dirty plates away. We live locally and we have had similar experiences. We will not be returning . The management should be giving their staff some training. I have seen on the Bispham chat group that there are lots of people saying they will not go there now for similar reasons.
