Service was good thanks to mario. However, eating was a little oily and lacking 'wow'. We had the seafood cahowder and some of the sharing plates (a beautiful idea) all fell short of their potential. Nevertheless, a delightful evening and a nice break from the Irish pub duve.

I had booked the restaurant, but when I arrived, it was closed, so sat in the bar. that was good, but the lady behind the bar was one of the most unfriendly people I've ever met. our waitress and the food were nice, but they put a dark shadow on an otherwise great lunch place.

Menu completely different and more expensive than advertised online. the new year menu was the only available and we had 2 courses minimum. at this point we were getting free prosecco (which was beautiful), but then felt not to leave. it was incredibly quiet with very little atmosphere. eating was amazing, but could do with larger portions. also felt because it was so quiet that the staff observed us all the time. also had no vegan options after calling the night before the advice, they had a whole vegetarian vegan menu (don't)

Excellent Christmas dinner. wonderful staff who are very friendly and knowledgeable.

I booked the restaurant for lunch. Staff were very offhand and said that I couldn’t have done that, it must be for afternoon tea. When I showed the booking I was given a choice of the dining room or the bar, and very much encouraged to go to the bar. The food was all right, nothing special and the service was extremely patchy. Our main course plates were left uncollected for ages- I think we were supposed to eat and leave straight away. Overall what should have been a treat in a lovely relaxing atmosphere was mediocre.
