Let 's start with the good amazing views and good wine. Now, the reason for the 1 star review. I recently attended a private reception at this venue. Throughout the event, I noticed a man lingering around the outskirts, watching the scene. At a point, Igrabbed a cup of tea which ended up having a bug in it. So, not wanting the drink or to pour liquid in the trash, I moved to anunoccupied edge of the porch and discretely poured the tea into some bushes. At which point, that man quickly walked up to me,interrupting a conversation I was having, to say we have sinks for a reason so how about you not pour your drinks on mybushes . Not wanting to match that level of rudeness, I simply said ok . This person, who I assume was either an owner or justentitled, felt the need to interrupt a private event and condescendingly address me as if I 'm a child. I 'm 34. I apologize fornot realizing sugar water would jeopardize your bushes or that you felt the need to personally police a private, formal event.Maybe try talking to people and not at them. So, go for the views, stay for the wine but be warned... you 'll be surveyedwith suspicion and spoken to like a child if you have the audacity to water some bushes.
I give this place 1 star for the sheer beauty of the venue space. However, I would never recommend this place to anyone, ever. They do not respect their customers, people who have paid them to use the space. They treat you like they are doing you a favorwhen you are paying to be there. They do not have a contract but did not like music that was played at our wedding receptionand turned it off. Rude. When you rent your space to someone and do not have rules around an event then you have no right toshut down someone's event. The property was was drunk and rudely ended our event before we were suppose to end it. I'mabsolutely appalled that they ruined a special moment for my sister. A once in a life moment that was ruined by thesepeople. They should not be in the event business. It's super clear they are not hospitable, do not value their customers and donot want to be in the event business. Do not use this place for an event you will regret it and no one deserves to have theirspecial event ruined by property owners.
This place is amazing and we love chatting with the owners every time we visit! Thank you Chuck and Alice!
After spending time up the road at Joffa Mountain Pottery, they told us we had to make a stop here, and we?re we ever glad that they did. The scenery is gorgeous and the the place is peaceful. On a hot day, we sat in the back porch, where a cool breezehelped us to relax. Wind chimes and hummingbirds were part of the entertainment. You can do wine tasting, a glass, a bottle orwhatever you fancy. We had a cheese and sausage board to sustain us as we sipped away the afternoon. It felt like we wereworlds away from the insanity of the world and our hearts were happy. Lovely staff, lovely building, lovely grounds. Just go!
