Look like the rats living in this chippy are not the only ones of there type in there as it turns out Dan is the biggest rat as he thinks its OK to tap into his neighbour's electric supply to keep his costs down ,now it out in open hope your stay at her Majesty's pleasure in Durham is a new life experience for you a well deserved free holiday

Tried The Old Post House Chippy for the first time this evening, after a mixup through Just Eat I called the shop directly and wish I had done in the first place! The staff were extremely helpful and accomodating and the food was delivered quickly. My husband and I had fish and chips and the kids chose the fish bites, all were delicious! The curry sauce was the best I've had in ages! We've all been well and truly converted and will be ordering here in future!

I placed an order for delivery and was told the delivery time was 7.15pm tonight. The food arrived an hour and five minutes late at 8.20pm. It was cold and disgusting. Tried to ring several times from 7.30pm onwards and no one ever answered the phone and they shut at 8. Absolutely disgusting service and will never order again from them.

Can’t thank Dan enough for sorting the chip shop delivery for my 40th party on Saturday night! The chips were delivered on time, still piping hot and so tasty! Dan gave first class service and all my guests loved it. Highly recommended for a party if you don’t want a traditional finger buffet. Thank you Dan xx
