Feedback gevenWould give 10 stars if it went that high!Kimberly and Devon (sp? were the epitome of hospitality. We were in Bloomington visiting my nephew and he wanted to stop in and see the hotel after we told him about a great experience we had in Ann Arbor at that Graduate. We were met by Kimberly who had equally as much passion for what she does (and is going to do as knowledge of the hotel and surrounding area. Devon and my nephew carried on a conversation about school and different activities. We will plan to come back and stay overnight (tonight we just came home since we live in Fishers . Thank you Kimberly and Devon for really making our visit to B-town one that we will never forget.
Beautiful hotel. Super nice staff. The bed is really hard. Love the hotel. Great location. Super clean. Next time I will bring some pillows from my house.
I was at a County Treasurers' Conference in Bloomington, Indiana....our original hotel was greatly overbooked for the time I was to be there. Our people scrambled to get us a good many rooms for 2 nights at Graduate Bloomington. I am glad they chose this hotel. I really enjoyed the stay there. The hotel is decorated with an old college theme, and they did a real nice job with this. The rooms, were excellent. The housekeeping staff made up my room for the 2nd night.....I haven't had that luxury for over 3 years. Most all hotels gave this up, citing Covid. I am glad that this niceity continues at Graduate Bloomington. They had a nice restaurant that I was not able to enjoy....but it sure looked nice, and was plenty busy. This hotel is located within walking distance of lots of bars, restaurants, and other happenings right in the middle of it all in Bloomington. Their on-site parking made it easy to come and go. I was simply thrilled with this quirky, unique experience. I will definitely return for another visit.
I'd recommend this hotel to anyone staying near campus. It's an easy walk about anywhere. There is plenty to do all around. They have a small parking garage attached to the hotel and street parking otherwise. The rooms are decorated great, love the IU plastered everywhere. There are some great stories to be told with all the history, I'm sure. The staff was super responsive and went out of their way to help. There is a small attached cafe where you can pick up a coffee and some local pastries. The beds were a little small, but to be fair, I'm a little big.Walkability: Superb
In many ways, the Graduate might be the best place to stay in Bloomington. But I won’t stay there again, for at least a couple of deal-breaker reasons. The location is the best in the city. Right between downtown and campus, close to the best restaurants in the city. The rooms are comfortable and creatively decorated, and everything works. Common areas are pleasant and useful, though you’ll get kicked out of at least one terrace by 10:00, which is early for a college town. The dealbreakers, for me anyway:The Graduate is always one of the most expensive hotels in Bloomington. But the true cost is significantly higher. Parking costs $18 a night, more for valet parking., and at that location there is no realistic alternative to parking in the hotel’s garage or surface lot. So you will pay about $20 a night more than what you are told the price is.There is no decent in-room coffee. There might be a hotpot and a packet of instant coffee in the room if you’re lucky, but I don’t count that. Every hotel, from Motel6 on up, is able to provide in-room coffee, but the Graduate can’t seem to figure it out.Housekeeping was inconsistent and lacking in attention to detail. Some days. some things were replaced, some days not.Bloomington is full of better options at these high-end prices.
