THE ORANGE QUOTE - BLOOMSBURY

I was excited to check this place because I read a lot of positive reviews. Went there on a Sunday, their Facebook page said trading hours was between 7:00-15:00. I walked in a few minutes past noon. Ordered the beef quesadillas and iced mocha for starters. The drink arrived, which was pretty much slid down to me from the other side of the table. I thought that was rude, but the guy did it with a smile, so maybe he wasn't intentionally being rude. This is the second place in Airlie Beach that is said to have "the best coffee" so I was excited to take a sip. To my disappointment, it tasted like a watered down iced coffee you get at the supermarket. Then, the food arrived and my heart sunk; the saddest, most uneventful, most disappointing quesadillas I have ever seen was staring back at me and expecting me to eat it. It tasted just like it looked, like cardboard with a bit of sweetness (thanks to the beetroot). I did not enjoy it. I wanted to try the waffles but the staff was already cleaning up and turning off the lights. It was only 13:00. So, I don't get this place. They did not seem interested to provide a good dining experience. I do not recommend it. They may have the best waffles as people say, but the service leaves a lot to be desired.

Stop in here every time I go to Cannonvale. They have the yummiest food. I always try to have something different when I go and have not been disappointed. Their Mexican coffee is to die for. And they make a good ice tea. Highly recommend them

Although the food was good, it was very standard,The hygiene practices in this establishment were non existent, For example, the staff take the orders and the payments at the cash register (no gloves worn), then commence to prepare the order. I noticed that everything was prepare by hand, no gloves were warn, no tongs were used, but I could see that there was at least one set of tongs available for use.One staff member wiped their hand on their nose, did not wash their hands and then began to pick up a burrito with their hands and place salads ( which were also picked up by hand without the use of gloves) onto the burrito.Another staff member also smoothed their hair back (long hair, roughly tied, and dangling over their face. No hair net or cover either) whilst preparing salads. These staff members had no idea about hygiene whatsoever.Not once did I see either of the staff members wash their hands or use gloves or utensils. They are not permitted to use the cash register, handle money and then prepare food without washing their hands after handling the money as the same germs that they picked up through the money handling and through the use of the cash register are transferred to the food.It makes me wonder what goes on out the back in the kitchen. I was and still am appalled by the lack of hygiene in this establishment.

Great food great coffee and smoothies. Great place to go for any occasion. Highly recommend. They also open nice and early and the staff always have a smile and good attitude.
