Town Tavern Blowing Rock

Despite some mysterious shortcomings in our server’s attentiveness and feeling a bit rushed, my wife and I enjoyed our experience at Town Tavern. My burger was very good, and I appreciate places that offer not just standard options but also Tater tots. My wife liked her sliders, but after her salad, she couldn’t finish one of the sliders and left most of her fries in the basket. We just wish our overall experience with the server had been as positive as it started out. Had it not been for that, Town Tavern would likely have received a higher rating from us.

The wings here are fantastic, and they even offer Carolina Reaper! The Vulcan castle dish is excellent. The salads are tasty, and the steak sandwich is enjoyable as well. I also liked the Ruck chicken sandwich. The fries and onion rings are good too. However, when the restaurant gets busy, it can take a bit too long to get your food. Overall, the service was decent.

I had the fish sandwich with onion rings for lunch, and it was fantastic! The fish was perfectly cooked, and the batter on both the fish and the onion rings was delicious without being overwhelming.

Good food, great location, cool bar and fun atmosphere. It took a while to get refills and check.

Awesome little tavern in Blowing Rock. Delicious, simple food at a good price and great atmosphere. Nice place to watch a game and have some drinks/beers.
