I tried joining the waitlist 3x before arriving and every time it said the waitlist was closed. When we arrived it was an hour wait. We decided to wait. Finally I received a text that our table was ready after an hour. I walked in and had to wait in another line before even getting to the hostess to tell her I received the text. We finally got seated. My daughter ordered a hot chocolate. When the server brought it out she said it tasted like cinnamon and he said no there is no cinnamon in it. It's hot chocolate. After about 2 min a woman comes out and says I'm sorry you got a chai latte .....here is your hot chocolate. Needless to say my 6 year old was already consuming the caffeine. I understand people make mistakes so even though I was frustrated I let it go. Then our food comes out. My daughter order fruity pancakes, eggs and bacon. I ordered the breakfast combo. Both of us received burnt bacon I took a picture . It was literally pure black on the edges and was not edible. I'm also not one to complain in a restaurant due to fear of my food being messed with so I didn't say anything. The pancakes we both record were also flat and tasteless. On top of everything else I received my bill which was 43.04. And still left a tip making my payment 50. It was myself and my 6 year old. We go to first watch on the regular and my bill is typically 30 with a tip. I'm so disappointed in this food and the fact that it was costly for no reason. I should have taken her to McDonalds and probably would of had a better experience.
The breakfasts at Turning Point are fantastic. I ordered the Avocado Benny, which is eggs Benedict with avocado. Eggs were perfectly poached, the bacon was crisp, and the toasted ciabatta really worked. The service needs improvement. I'm not talking about the waitstaff they are great. I'm talking about the overall restaurant management. It can take a long time to get a table, and then you might wait a while for your food. That said, I will definitely go back again and again for the unique and refreshing juice creations, the French Press coffee, and for the food. There are so many good options on the menu, it's hard to choose so I'll have to go back to enjoy more from the menu.
Last Sunday I took myself to breakfast and had a fun experience eating in the theke with my waitress razing, attentive, committed and helpful. I wanted something simple: simple touch, crispy speck, crispy houseberries and roggentoast and it was all great and reasonable. in addition, although it is not on its extensive coffee menu, rachel has a fabulous decaf mocha hot coffee with only hot cocoa mix, cream and coffee. my breakfast was great, my Mocha coffee was excellent, and rustling is a jewel. I'm not a fan of national chain restaurants and was a little hesitant, based on some of these reviews, but I'm glad I gave the place a try. Not the mother and pop-dinner experience I prefer, but still very nice.
I ordered coffee but it didn’t come with a spoon, and the eggs Benedict I had were burned, with cold eggs and very firm potatoes. The French toast was really good, though. My smoothie arrived lukewarm, and I ended up waiting 20 minutes for the check.
Silverware, crockery and glassware are dirty. they need better cleaning methods. the breakfast table is usually kartoffeln. will not be back.
