Blaze Burgers Fries - Blue Summit

Before we left KC, we wanted to get a bite of of cheeseburger and bottomless fries. Be sure that this was a very good experience. Next time we are on our way out of town we will stop by again.

First problem was that it was like sitting in a freezer. One of the employees said they had to keep it cold or the tile floor got slippery but regardless it was miserable. Then after an hour wait we got our food and it was cold and not very good. Kids burger tasted like the old school lunch burger made with soy beans. Big haystack burger was very skimpy on the meat which was unremarkable. Onion strings on the burger were undercooked and just a big blob of goo. Fries were pretty good. So there you have it. If you have a lot of time and like fries, go there.

Stopped here for lunch before going to the airport. GREAT waitress (Katie? and loved the endless fries. The Southern Charm Burger was delicious, as well as the Whisky River BBQ Burger. Wow...delicious. If you're not afraid of calories, try the Mountain High Mud Pie (we shared it . And who doesn't love the endless fries. Good stuff, friends, so stop in if you're killing time before your flight or just arrived after a long day of travel.

We are doing our part to hep local restaurants survive during the COVID-19 pandemic. We made several visits here over the past few months for curbside and take out orders. Now that the dining room is officially open for business, we have made three attempts to dine outside on their patio. Unfortunately, our past two attempts have not been good. We were seated outside a few days ago but we left and ate elsewhere because nobody came outside to take our order after we waited almost 15 minutes. We attempted to dine here yesterday evening and our request to dine outside was denied. The manager explained to me the restaurant was not staffed to allow for outdoor dining because of COVID-19. The manager suggested I sit at the bar instead. I made an effort to explain to the manager public health officials suggest it is far more safe to dine outside rather than inside during the pandemic. It was obvious to me the restaurant management could care less about my needs as a customer. If I was the manager I would have suggested to go ahead and place a takeout order. Then feel free to sit outside and eat it. I found another restaurant within Zona Rosa which offered outdoor dining and we enjoyed a nice dinner there instead.

We had a late lunch here the other day, sitting at a booth in the bar area as usual. Service can be slow in the bar, but is still good. The food is always good and we love the unlimited refills on sides like fries, salad and broccoli. Rarely a wait and a big menu to choose from as well.
