He was turned off so replaced it with Mac and cheese and didn't charge for either! We didn't ask for anything they offered!
Had a 5:45 reservation for a bar area table. Did not like the table they sat us at. I asked to change to one of the other 4 open tables. Server said “NO” because they were reserved with reservations. I stated, I have a reservation. Then she wanted us to put us in a back room like we’re an outcast. I said NO. She went and spoke to the hostess. Then sat us at one of the 4 open tables followed by the comment, you won’t be having me then as your server. I said sorry but how could you expect people to eat comfortably at a small oval table where your dinner plate would not even be in front of you. She said no one ever wants to sit there to eat….. Ughhhhh Our server was great!!!!! The Cooks need to learn temps. We ordered a filet Mignon cooked medium that we said we wanted to share and the Parmesan truffle fries. The filet came out well done and cut in half. We did not ask for the steak to be cut!!! Why would you cut the steak in half without asking and let it dry out? Then to top it off the Parmesan truffle fries were plain French fries. No Parmesan. No truffle oil… We’ll stick to New York Prime
The worst bartender I ever had . Thinks who spends the most money . Who get service
Hubby I had a wonderful experience. The food was Delicious cooked just right. Hubby had the salmon on bed of asparagus with mashed potatoes I had lambchops with roasted brussel spouts. The bread cracker basket along with the calmari was also delicious( forgot to take a picture of it). We found out that our neighbor works there(KeLord). It was a nice surprise to see him there!!! Our server Alexander was Great, very Attentive also let's not forget Kristy!!! Relax and enjoy your food, don't stack dishes....let them do it We loved both their sense of humor service. The Hostess was also very nice. OH, we were given a complimentary very scrumptious dessert!!!! Thank you Capital Grill for a wonderful evening We'll be back
We started with the Lobster and Crab Cake with Lemon Basil Aïoli. It was delivered warm and dry, which made the plate mediocre. Next, my date ordered the Double Cut Lamb Rib Chops. She said they were very good and I had a portion which tasted nice. I ordered the Kona Crusted Dry Aged Bone-In New York Strip with Shallot Butter, and it wasn’t until just now, as I write this and refer to the menu online, that I realized I was served the Dry Aged New York Strip au Poivre with Courvoisier Cream. I was wondering why it did not taste so good among other reasons that although I ordered the steak medium, it came medium well with a big big chunk of gristle right in the center of the cut. The main reason I came to Capital Grille was for the Kona steak and The Generous Pour. It was a very disappointing experience. I was looking for a refreshing change from New York Prime, but it just doesn’t get any better than New York Prime. You may say well, why didn't you say something while at the restaurant? My response is that I was on a date. I did not want to make what was a pleasant evening into something as uncomfortable as returning a dry, overcooked steak, waiting for a new steak while my date's food gets cold. And then eating my steak after my date has finished her dinner...well, you get the idea. On a side note: When I retrieved my car from valet, the car jockey asked for $10.00 for parking. I handed him a $20.00 bill. As he was fumbling, counting-out one dollar bills as my change, he handed me $7.00. I asked where the rest of my change was. He replied that he gave it to me. It was like pulling teeth to get my change from him. I wonder how many other patrons he did this to in order to keep a 30% tip? Regretfully
