Bocas Coffee Shop - Bocas del Toro

We had some great pancakes there for breakfast. It's a really cute place and the staff very friendly.

Ernesto was such a gracious host in his coffee shop, and it was the first time my friend and I had met him or been in his shop. The coffee is amazing too!!! This was by far the best coffee I had during a 12 day trip in Costa Rica and in Panama.

Best expresso in Bocas town. The breakfasts are good too. Have expresso there 4-6 times per week for the last 9 months. Can't beat the Boquette sourced coffee. WiFi is excellent. All in all, Ernesto will take care of you.

It just might be your only espresso option on the island, but even if you found another, you wouldn't find a better one. My husband and I stumbled into this place our second day on the island and didn't miss a morning cup the rest of the trip. We even walked back down there after checking into our flight for a goodbye pick-me-up. Ernesto (the shop owner) remembered us and would call us by name when he saw us on the street even if we weren't headed to his place. The coffee was strong but flavorful enough that neither of us ever needed sugar. The service was (island) fast, friendly, and the employees gladly struggled through our limited Spanish for directions, suggestions, tips, and info. Don't miss the opportunity to get your caffeine fix at this quaint and simply-named, island treasure.
