Perfect night to be outside with my friend! A reunion with yummy appetizers. We had the Brie and crab cakes and Paloma’s to catch up. The nature outside felt like we were home having a nice dinner, great company, great restaurant. The restroom was clean, free parking!
The perfect place for that special date or Sunday brunch, nested in landscapes that seemed out of an English post card with green ducks, ponds and even a mill. My advice is to make a reservation. The restaurant is comprised of 3 joint buildings , one seems to have been a small church over a century ago. The brunch came with 2 drinks per person plus the standard drinks and the food was very very good. I specially liked their au jus. The steak was great, but my favorite was the little shrimp dishes… please note, we went for Sunday brunch. The live music was nice and not overpowering. Parking was not that great but it was enough Vegetarian options: Soup and salads are good. This is not a specialty restaurant for vegetarian choices, however, there are a few options available
Delicious food, friendly service, and a fine view. 8 year update...Sunday buffet is fantastic.
Returned to The Creek after several years. The service is always top notch. We started with two side Caesers (not on the menu) which were nice, but pretty average. For our main we ordered the Veal Cordon Bleu. The portion was huge (advertised as 14 ounces but was two chops) and quite frankly it looked rather gross on the plate. Taste was ok, but certainly not even close to a real cordon bleu service. The other dish was the Snapper A La Creek, which was served in a plate dripping with oil and butter, and the edges were overcooked. The issue with the food is that it is priced for a premium product, and I expect a premium product. I know they are trying, but at least on this night the kitchen was a little off.
We enjoyed our meal at The Creek. I had the beet salad and Corbina, and my wife had the endive salad and salmon. Joel, our server, was excellent and never made us want for anything. The only drawback we had with the entire experience was the large group of women sitting nearby who were extremely loud, preventing those around them from having dinner table conversations.
