A great triangular asado on the way to the door. Fast service, large portions of mixed grill includes...4 different meats, including natural capybara. Nice Ajiaco (I noticed that couples come for ajiaco one half eat the soup and the other the chicken, rice and avocado). Lovely drinks (July, Limonada) as well as being a friendly place for a foreigner.
Good location near many attractions, staff was attentive and helpful. I had the Capibara Special Mixto. a dish full of 4 kinds of meat very delicious. good atmosphere. I'd return to Bogota next trip.
That was my second time in this restaurant. The food here is delicious and cheap for what you get. The service was also friendly. We had the dish mix that had all kinds of meat, including Chiguiro, which is Capibara. We all paid less than $20 for all meals including beer. It is located directly opposite the Museo de la Moneda!
We thought here was a linner. Paid $15.00 for more than we could eat and that contained two beers. My husband had the mixed grill and was almost enthusiastic. His mixed grill included Capibara... an animal we don't know, but it looks like a big rodent. I had ajiaco con pollo... a delicious stew with three types of potatoes, corn, Yuca, etc. I was also served a quarter of a chicken, rice and avocado that I took home for another day. This is a traditional Bogota speciality. I'll give myself five stars to try. The service was great and the photo op with the young man grilling the meat was funny. I'll try to download pictures. Do not let the rod you turn off... this does not have to be in YOUR mixed grill!
