I decided to try the Cubano sandwich, which featured roasted pork, ham, pickles, Swiss cheese, and mustard on Cuban-style bread. Unfortunately, the bread was very dry and hard, and the pork was lacking flavor. I had to ask for mustard, as there was barely any on the sandwich to enhance the taste. Our waiter was not attentive. When he came to take drink orders, my wife simply asked for water, and I did the same. Instead of giving us time to look over the menu, he immediately asked if we were ready to order after just 2 minutes of sitting down. We responded that we needed more time, but it was 15 minutes before he returned. After our food was served, he didn’t check on us at all, and his assistant cleared our plates and handed us the bill. Normally, I would consider giving a restaurant another chance, but in this case, I won't be returning.
The food was delicious, and the interior was beautifully decorated. There was ample parking available. If you visit, definitely try a dish with plenty of garlic—it’s worth it! However, there was a minor issue with the bathroom maintenance; I’m not sure it would meet health inspection standards.
My 1st visit to CCG was good. Service was a little slow, but the food was okay . This visit, the service was quick, and the food was nothing like the 1st time. Granted I ordered a different entree, but ordered a mojito just like before had the same appetizer as before. The mojito tasted like they just poured in the rum added some lemonade and club soda and threw in the mint. The pork dish I ordered came with black beans and yucca. I thought it was fried yucca but it was steamed. Both the yucca and beans had no taste, terribly bland. The pork was good after I added some salt, if they actually marinate the pork they need to marinate it longer or put in more spices. The service was good though. Not sure if I will go back, kind of a disappointment.
First time here and first time eating authentic Cuban cuisine. A quaint little place with nice decorations. The food was really good. I ordered the Pan Con Lechon Samminch, and the wife got the Puerco Adada Entree. Great sandwich with a tasty dip and fries. The entree was fork tender and the black beans and rice were great. I've never had yucca, different but good, it was kind of like potato. All in all, an outstanding lunch. The service was spot on. As usual, ate half of it before the pics.
