El Habanero Truck - Boise

I will seriously drive past 10 other trucks to get here. Yeah, it's that good. No pics because I already wolfed down the shrimp burrito. Sorry. Can't beat the price either for a burrito dang near the size of a toddler.

This food truck is not just a regular food truck. It is a delicious gourmet restaurant on wheels that just happens to be in the shape of a food truck. If you have been in Boise your entire life and have not tried this place, you have an El Habanero shaped whole in your heart.

The truck has a good setup and looks to be well maintained. Went at lunchtime with a steady stream of customers. Ordered a Carne Asada burrito and two Carne Asada street tacos. Tacos were small, but had good flavour. The carne on the tacos was pretty good, nice chopped chucks with good flavour. The burrito on the other had had an okay amount of meat, but I felt overwhelmed with the beans and rice. Kinda just felt like a bean burrito with some bites l. The meat could not of been the same carne Asada used for the tacos. It was essentially Roast beef. Rice and beans were good. The hottest sauce had good flavour but was really missing the kick I had hoped for. Overall good experience, kind people, just some personal preferences that I didn 't care for.

Stumbled upon this place on accident, and so glad I did! I got their burrito special and the flavor was outstanding, it was a carnitas burrito with ranchero sauce, and it brought me the joy that only an amazing burrito can bring. I don’t make it to this part of town often, but I will make sure to find my way back here. Also super quick and friendly service.
