We also ordered an appetizer that came out about a minute before our dinner. My food salad was the last thing to do. My husband said his dinner would also probably have been fine if it were actually warm (Mac)
Immigrant and found a place at the bar. Had wonderful and fast service. A Starburst Margarita ordered, it was the perfect sweet and tart taste. Pickle chips, we ordered with ranch, although it comes with Rosette sauce. Finally we ordered Mac and cheese with Pork Carnitas and Jalapeños. Our waitress/bartender was friendly and quick with the drinks. The restaurant was just busy enough to feel good on a Friday night.
The cheese on the nachos was burned. It took 33 minutes to get our appetizer. The meal was 2 minutes later. Burger was super brutto it was only softened in oil fat. As a former cook and Restraunt Manager, this is simply not right. Salmon portioning was small and was boiled over. You get a better and bigger cut at shari's. Space looked cool, but it lacks fast and appealing service.
Many things have changed over the years since I was in the Ram. The Armadillo eggs were always a favorite, I went almost a mile from downtown to get them and the recipe is now different. They were pretty dry. Sandwich was good and the bartender was nice.
Edited: It seems like the management is engaged and has requested feedback. That is awesome, I bumped my rating up a bit. Vegan options are limited, but that patio is still one of the best in the Treasure Valley!!! I grew up with this restaurant being one of the most favorite spots to have a family dinner. After getting back to the valley, from being away for 20 years, I unfortunately have to say that the Ram has passed its prime...? But! They do have an impossible burger so vegans you have AN option. I think they might have had a salad which you could make vegan, but 99% of the menu was meat based. While a I was a bit let down with the dinner options, the patio still did not disappoint. The patio is adjacent to the greenbelt and the Boise River, and it is amazing still to be in that environment with all of the sounds and smells while you eat dinner.
