I knew when I tasted the pizza bread pieces that came w/the salad (meticulously made with flavor in every bite), that the pizza crust would be perfection...I could eat the crust alone. A sure sign of a great . The San Marzano tomato sauce and the mozzarella cheese together created magic. We could've eaten four pies in one sitting. How he made the crust chewy, crispy texturally savory is a miracle. He his staff treated us with respect, like home. This one's a keeper...16 years in the business for a reason. Make room for homemade ricotta cream cheesecake!
I'm not from the area, but I am assuming this is a hidden gem! This was honestly the best Neapolitan style pizza I have ever had (I've been to Italy ! They have two vegan options, which weren't listed as such, but good to know if you have dietary restrictions as I do. The staff were super friendly, Tony was flipping pizzas and helping to accommodate my needs! I have never experienced an owner cooking the food, definitely shows how passionate he is for his business! I had the number 1, marinara I believe, added extra sauce, olives, sauteed mushrooms, and fresh arugula. They set down parmesan, crushed peppers, balsamic, and olive oil. Definitely recommend adding the balsamic and olive oil to your pizza! I have never had that offered at another pizzeria, a total game charger! Their balsamic is amazing, tastes like Italian balsamic, which if you've been there you know what I mean!: It's a small little shop, plays opera music, highly highly recommend! Thank you Tony!:
Awesome, local, Napolitano pizza in downtown. Boise has a lot of (frankly... mostly mediocre pizza options, but Tony's is definitely at the top my list. The dough has an amazing! chew, and the toppings are high quality (sausage, garlic, and spinach . My Caprese salad was fresh- the basil and Buffalo mozzarella being the stand outs against fresh pepper and nutty EVOO. Easy to miss as it is *very* small, but right next door to The Egyptian theater and across the street from city hall. Owners are super nice, stop in and enjoy!
I have eaten here twice now and without a doubt, this is THE best pizza I've ever had. Hubby and I are visiting a friend here in Boise and he told us about this place. We loved it so much we had to come back before leaving for home. We had the Caprese salad. Everything is super fresh. The quality of the cheese is outstanding. We ordered the Margharita pizza. Wow!! The crust is perfect, the sauce very tasty, and everything blends beautifully. I will most definitely come back. Tony and his wife are great people. A really cool place with outstanding pizza.
The most relaxed, authentic, overall excellent pizzeria at least in the PNW if not the USA. Just great IMO.
