Al Mehran - Boksburg

The food at Al Mehran was always of great quality and taste from the order of them in my 4 years. My preferred dish was the Mutton Curry, and my recommendation is on the bone. The best Mutton Curry in Boksburg, in my opinion.

I was in the area and looking for something to eat when I stumbled upon this hidden gem near the gas station. I asked for a recommendation and tried the chicken boti masala, which turned out to be absolutely delicious. I loved it! It's been a while since I had such good Indian food. Thank you!

I've been craving curries and Bunny chow for a while now, but haven't had the chance to visit my usual spots. I decided to explore more local eateries and discovered that AlMehran serves Bunny chow. I ordered a Half Mutton Bunny, Chicken Biryani, AlMehran Special Fried Rice, Mutton Curry, and two Garlic Naans. The restaurant has a spacious interior, and the staff was friendly when I arrived to pick up my takeout. My food was ready when I got there, which was a nice surprise. The Bunny was flavorful and served hot, but for the price, I expected more meat inside—it felt a bit misleading with the half loaf of bread. The Chicken Biryani was decent but could have used a bit more spice. The Special Fried Rice was supposed to come with chicken, beef, and prawns, but those ingredients were quite sparse among the rice considering the price. The Mutton Curry was heavy on oil and, once again, lacked sufficient meat. On the bright side, the Garlic Naans were excellent. I ordered a mutton dhal gosht dish and literally got 2 pieces of mutton, some fat and a bunch of bones to add. The food is extremely oily and to be fair... The only thing which was cool was this dumpy coke ...the toilets are not pleasing either. I would definitely not go back... But good luck to all the peeps who like the unhealthy vibe this place gives off.
