We were really looking forward to have dinner here on our last night in Bol, we’ve made reservations a couple of weeks in advance. When we got there, we did not feel welcome at all, so we felt we had to leave. We ended up having dinner at restaurant Argento, a family restaurant with lovely hosts, where we did feel welcome and had a lovely night after all.
We ate there last Saturday evening. In general a very nice place with friendly staff. It was a pity that the olive oil was rancid, which ruins the best food. After pointing out to the waiter during the appetizer that the olive oil was no longer fresh and had this unpleasant taste, we were served another very tasty oil. However, the kitchen continued to use the bad oil which of course had the same aftertaste in most main courses, which we had to leave. Unfortunately, there was no sign of any courtesy from the service, which is very unusual in a somewhat upscale restaurant, as this would like to position itself. Apart from the olive oil, the food was very tasty.
We had a very nice late lunch here as a family! Our table was outside right at the balustrade overlooking the promenade and the water, so we could watch all the boats passing by while eating. We had the house wine, different cold and warm appetizers, Dalmatian rabbit, fried calamari, gnocchi, lamb, salads, and can recommend everything! Service was also very friendly and attentive. Some dishes are a bit pricey, but all in all it's worth it because it tastes great and you can sit overlooking the ocean and port. Kid-friendliness: We visited as a family with a 3 year old and everything was great!
