Hanover Hardy's - Bolingbrook

I put a good rating across the board because I don't want to slam a place we didn't actually eat at. Had we known it was inside a Holiday Inn, we honestly would not have gone there. We assumed it was a stand alone restaurant. It looked nice, but it was small and empty.

The restaurant is currently closed as their kitchen is temporarily shut. They never open before 5 PM. It is recommended to update their website and Google listing.

The food was excellent, but the service was just okay. Our server was friendly, but she brought out our meals at different times and two of us received incorrect dishes without the requested substitution of fries. She eventually brought the correct item we ordered, but did not check back on us or refill our water unless prompted. Despite these issues, the atmosphere was pleasant and the food quality was great.

This restaurant was not what I anticipated. It turned out to be just a bar in a hotel lobby. It was difficult to enjoy my meal with The Walking Dead playing loudly on the TV. The food was good, but the service was lacking.

Exceeded expectations for a hotel restaurant. Large portions, great tasting food, friendly service
