Pizzeria Nettuno - BOLOGNA

At the end of September 2023 I arrived in Bologna – after an exhausting flight from Belgium. It was not for the first time I visited beautiful Bologna. I was really tired – and also very really hungry. And I craved for only two things – good food and a good night of sleep! In that order. It was then I discovered this really amazing pizzeria. In a quiet backstreet in the centre of Bologna. O my God! What a jewel this pizzeria is! And what a warm and beautiful human being the owner of that pizzeria is! This man gave me not only one of the best pizzas I ever ate in Italy – and believe me or not as the old man I am who has travelled Italy for many years – but that man gave me on top of his amazing pizza all the warmth and hospitality of Italy. During that one hour I sat on the streetside of his pizzeria – enjoying my incredible pizza – I saw this man making food and talking to his customers with the same human warmth he gave to me. And he did so without any hesitation – while working really really hard. Running a one-man pizzeria in Italy with such love is just amazing. That such a man and such a place to eat still exist in Europe – or anywhere else – is a miracle. It is called: authenticity. To conclude – I just want to say this. If you stay in Bologna and want really good food – made from all the good ingredients and made with all the love you can think of: go to this place. Without any hesitation. It is haven and heaven for anyone who loves Italy and fabulous food. Why can’t I give this man and his pizzeria no SIX stars?

Delicious pizza and super nice pizzaiolo! We would definitely come back once we'll visit Bologna one more time

Very good pizza by the slice or the whole pizza. Prices were very reasonable. Lots of choices with an owner who is very friendly and helps you to choose a pizza from a long list of ingredients. The crust was amazingly tender. It was so good that we went twice while we were in Bologna.

Me and my sister highly recommend this place for a good slice of pizza and more! The prices and the taste are great (1,5/2 euro for a very big slice , the location is very convenient central but the street is a smaller and calmer one. Very nice place to stay and immerse yourself in the Italian climate when the pizzaman, with those smooth movements of the master, is doing his job right in front of your eyes. Thank you : !

We wanted to eat something, but instead we find a warm welcome. alba tried to fulfill all our desires and gave us some pieces to try while waiting. really happy vibes. totally recommended. I'll see you at my next visit to bologna. with love her little erasmus group.
