Tavern On The Lake - BOLTON LANDING

The soups were quite good, but the stuffed mushrooms lacked flavor. Our server seemed rushed and barely had time for us, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. It felt like we were inconveniencing her whenever she approached our table. When it came time for the check, she casually tossed it on the table and walked away. Overall, it was not a satisfying experience. Service: Dine-in, Meal type: Dinner.

We ordered a few dishes: the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer, along with the fish and chips and the crab cake sandwich. Unfortunately, both of our main courses arrived cold, including the French fries and onion rings. We also decided to treat ourselves to dessert, choosing the apple crisp à la mode. To our dismay, it wasn't warmed up, and the apples were crunchy. Overall, this was a very underwhelming experience.

Came in for an early dinner. Atmosphere in what seemed to be the main dining/bar area was very active with many drinks flowing. We sat down on the water, very nice spot (watch your head). Our waiter, Joseph, was very kind and attentive. Between us, we ordered the crab cake sandwich with chips and the swordfish and scampi. The crab cake was good flavor, but lacked texture and acidity. Swordfish was cooked and seasoned well; the shrimp was over cooked and under seasoned. The sides of the day roasted potatoes were room temp and inconsistently cooked (some raw, some cooked); green beans were under cooked and under seasoned.
