After a harrowing drive from Venice through the Dolomites we were so happy to reach our hotel in Bolzano before dark and decided to have dinner at their restaurant. It was an excellent choice-my husband chose the Tyrollean Farmer 's Snack which was an entree of assorted meats/sausages that would have fed at least 2-3 hungry farmers! My schnitzel was exactly what I wanted--moist, tasty and just enough! We chose house red wine to accompany the meal and enjoyed a berry strudel for dessert.
The food was great and prepared in high quality. The price was reasoanable. It's part of a family run B&B the owner is friendly and helpful.
It happened by chance in this delicious pension. . we have tried all the services since we slept, lunch at cards, dinner with half board and breakfast. the maximum vote. new room, large, clean and with a breathtaking view. the restaurant is really amazing, we always ate very well. very kind staff, wonderful location that allows you to make wonderful walks and get to the city at a time. super recommended!
We stayed at the hotel on half board rate and had a wonderful meal. Plentiful salads and breads to begin with then a delicious vegetable strudel for starter. The main was veal which I won 't eat so after a mixture of English/German/French/Italian little cow not OK, big cow OK I was served a lovely mature steak and hubby happily ate the veal! Dessert was a nutty chocolate coated ice cream mound which was delicious. Good value wine and a few beers and a stunning view from the covered eating area made for a special evening. Breakfast was equally good.
