We’ve traveled across Canada and only stop at cute small town cafes. Also we understand a young man was in training so this affected our experience. A bit more energy. We felt like a burden being served instead of having a welcoming atmosphere to dine in. Our order was messed up and our kids were completely forgotten about. Pro tip always serve the kids first. It can make or break an experience for their parents. The lady was very kind and apologetic and we appreciate that. This cafe has a ton of potential with the right service. It’s absolutely adorable. We hope you don’t take any offence to this review we just want to see you succeed and hope you find this helpful.
Absolutely LOVELY! We rented bikes and picnics for three for a nice ride around Bonavista. It ultimately was too rainy for the bikes, and the owner helpfully refunded us the prices of the bikes, and instead gave us great recommendations for sheltered places to stop as we drove around for the day. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. The place itself was also delightful inside (we had breakfast there before we took off). Definitely recommended!
Had an excellent time riding around Bonavista, checking out Biennale exhibits, and having a delicious picnic. Finished with some wine and a perfect coffee at the tables across from the cafe while enjoying the great view. This is a great way to experience the town.
What a delight! The Best Coffee in the area, combined with exquisite baked goods. Or maybe you want a panini for lunch. So many choices. All home cooked on site and delicious. Today I had a traditional breakfast. They have free WiFi. You can enjoy a brilliant Americano (as I did) and check all your social media while relaxing inside, or outside in their picnic area. They also have comfy lounge chairs outside so you can stare at the sea. OR, You could rent a bike and take one of their picnic baskets and enjoy the day anywhere in the Bonavista area. Bonavista Bicycle Picnics Cafe If you haven't been, you should go. I will definitely be back.
This is the small, local Cafe that everyone wishes they had in their local neighborhood. It is quaint, and run by the nicest folks anyone could ask to help them. When we came the owner, Miranda was working with her young daughter Elizabeth helping. It was an easy Sunday morning, rain rolling in and customers doing the same rolling in the front door. We enjoyed yogurt parfait with homemade granola, locally made (and grown! berry jam, and mint leaves picked right from the back garden. The breads and pastries are top notch. Coffee is great, again it's local from Trinity, and keeps everything symbiotic to Newfoundland. Although we didn't rent any, this is what seems like the only spot in town to rent a bicycle and helmet for the day. All in all, this place is top notch and shouldn't be missed.
