Robins - Bonavista

There was a long line at the drive-thru, so it seemed like a hassle to get out of the car. I decided to go inside to place my order. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent.

We arrived just as the first group of kids was heading in, but they were soon followed by many more. Kids kept jumping ahead of me in line to join their friends, which made the wait longer as they placed their orders and then wandered off, prompting the staff behind the counter to call out for them when their donuts were ready. When I finally reached the counter, I was disappointed to find out they had no soup available. I ended up just getting a couple of coffees and sat at the table my husband had saved earlier; we were the only adult customers there. He checked his app and saw that the EV charger outside wasn't working properly. After finishing our coffees, we disconnected the car and decided to head to Port Rexton instead. I understand that kids can be noisy and energetic, but there's no need for them to push ahead in line and create extra work for the staff. It would also be nice if they could have some soup available during lunchtime! Overall, it wasn't as convenient as it appeared, so I’d recommend avoiding this place during lunch if you’re looking for hot food.

Food/Coffee 3 stars, but customer service 1/2 star.Honestly, I was looking forward to trying Robin 's...first time out in Newfoundland and I heard it was great. I was starting my journey for the day and saw a Robin 's and thought it was a great opportunity to stop. I placed my order in the drive thru, I thought I was being quite polite and remembering my please and thank yous as always. Got up to the window and the young lady gave me the total, it seemed low, so I confirmed what I had ordered. She said I didn 't order that, but she did correct it and then turned to me and said well maybe you should be nicer next time and went to grab the item. Sorry?!?! I didn 't realize that in any way I was being rude or not nice .I have to say, this has totally turned me away from Robin 's for the rest of my trip here.Not impressed at all.

Egg and steak sandwich was excellentCappuccino was syrupy and in need of improvement.
