Came for brunch on a busy Sunday and spotted lots of high teas and Eggs Benedict dishes going around. 'Isn 't this place 100% plant based? ', I asked my vegan friend! Not only is it plant based; it is also dairy free, refined sugar free and gluten free! So the Eggs Benedict consists of gluten free English muffins topped with spinach, avocado, 2 nEggs house made vegan eggs made w coconut and sweet potato), maple tempeh bacon, mushrooms and raw vegan hollandaise sauce. Looked yummy but chose the SK avo on toast w house made kraut $16) and Grawnola raw $17.50) made from buckwheat, goji berries cacao nibs with mylk, and seasonal fruit! Also added coconut yoghurt for a probiotic kick! Not sure why, but the tastes here are superlative to regular food. It is kind of like you 've died and gone to heaven and everything just tastes better! The Iced Sacred Cacao $10) was actually out of this world, as was the Golden Mylk turmeric latte $5.50) Will definitely be back for the high tea event, but was informed you need to book this two days in advance! Live a little and put all preconceived ideas of health food and veganism behind you! Try it...you 'll like it!
Cute interior, friendly staff and DELICIOUS food! I haven't had very much vegan food but my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and plan on trying more if this is the kind of foods we'll be eating!
Find us on instagram: loveatfirstbite_aus<br/ <br/ Sadhana Kitchen is a vegan cafe in Bondi that serves 100% plant based, nourishing wholefoods that are gluten free, dairy free and refined sugar free. I do not visit vegan restaurants often but we decided to be adventurous one day and try this place for we had heard good reviews about it. We ordered a savoury and a sweet dish to share. For our savoury dish, we ordered the Vegan lasagne made with mushroom and spinach ricotta on a bed of salad. This was an interesting dish, the mushroom and spinach ricotta was full of flavour and did well to mimic the usual pasta sheets. I would not say it’s a substitute for normal lasagne but it was decently made and tasted nice.
I would happily revisit Sadhana for High Tea again and again. After my High Tea experience here it made me think to myself why bother consuming refined sugar and processed sweets at a regular high tea when you can have wholesome raw vegan treats that taste EVEN BETTER!!! <br/ <br/ We were a group of 3 and there was 3 of everything so we each got to try all the savoury and sweets which left us extremely satiated and happy. My favourites from our selection of High Tea nibbles: <br/ Raw Bagels with cucumber cream cheeze <br/ Flax crisp with tuna <br/ Walnut cacao slice <br/ Lemony Cheesecake <br/ Banoffee slice <br/ Caramel Slice <br/ Sesame cacao superfoods balls <br/ <br/ Each of the cheesecakes/slices were creamy, decadent with a textured crispy base which I loved. There were some slices (like the caramel and cacao options that were on the sweet side and the lemon banoffee slices were not as sweet but the hint of citrus and the banana taste left you wanting more. <br/ <br/ Loved the texture of the crisps and raw bagels, they definitely fill you up quickly! And of all the flax crisps with spread (there was also hummus, beet and avocado our favourite was definitely the tuna. <br/ <br/ And we were able to select a bottomless tea or organic coffee. Would highly recommend this High Tea even for those with a sweet tooth that don't consciously eat raw vegan, you'll have to give this a try! Your tastebuds will love it and you won't feel guilty afterwards : <br/
I have visited Sadhana on two occasions on my trip to Sydney. The first time I ordered the vegan waffles, which were titled 'the best waffles ever ' and while they were quite beautiful, I probably wouldn 't call them 'the best waffles ever ' as they needed a sweetener of some sort, like pure maple syrup or date paste/syrup. But I know this place is known for 'whole foods ', so that could just be why. But there was a solid amount of other toppings including the hugest passionfruit I have ever seen and I did enjoy the waffles.<br/ I also ordered the superfood mylo (cold which was delicious! I have missed milo since being vegan, so this was great to try!<br/ My nephew ordered the banana bread, which I tried and it was delicious my sister enjoyed her waffles and coffee frappe!<br/ <br/ On my second visit I ordered the brownie sundae which also felt like it needed something a little extra on top but it was still good. My friend ordered the Soul Bowl which looked absolutely divine but was quite pricey at $21.<br/ <br/ The cafe itself is gorgeous the staff are very friendly! I would return :
