Alberto's - Bonners Ferry

Absolutely fantastic! This is the best Mexican food I’ve tasted since moving from the South. The only place I've had even better Mexican cuisine on this side of the border was in Texas. You can't beat the food or Connie's welcoming smile. The entire atmosphere is warm, making you feel right at home and like part of the family. I highly recommend the carne asada – it’s amazing! This husband and wife duo gives it four thumbs up!

When I informed the waiter about the unsatisfactory food, he went to speak with the owner. She then approached our table and surprisingly accused me of trying to steal food before I even had a chance to explain my unpleasant experience. All I wanted to do was pay for the mediocre meal and leave, but she attempted to call the police on me. I will never return. The food was not at all representative of Mexican cuisine; it felt more like something you'd find at a soup kitchen. I genuinely pity anyone who chooses to eat there in the future.

On a brighter note, there's a "for sale" sign out front, so hopefully the next owners will restore some genuine Mexican cuisine. For now, though, I would suggest heading to Taco Bell instead!

Mole!! Let me start by saying that the atmosphere, vibrant colors, and charm of Alberto's brought happiness on a dreary day in March 2015. My husband and I stopped by in the afternoon and felt delighted as soon as we walked in. I absolutely love the charm of this place! The owner, Connie, is friendly, cheerful, and incredibly accommodating, and I adored her cooking! Her mole is fantastic, and the chimichanga I had was equally delicious. My husband's combo plate was also very good! Normally, I'm not a fan of Spanish rice, but I really enjoyed Connie's! This was the best authentic Mexican food we've had in years. We've traveled through Oregon, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, and back to Montana last summer when we moved to Libby. I will make a point to stop at Connie's every time I pass through. Delicious authentic Mexican food at great prices!

Fantastic Dining Experience! The cozy log building creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food is exceptionally fresh and bursting with flavor. The staff is wonderful, making this place a true gem in the area.
