It can be difficult to eat vegan here because the whole rice is made with butter. they pay the full price for just a tortilla and borrow, with any extra cost. students love this place updated by previous review on 2009-09-16
I stumbled in this Burrito place while I was researching and thinking, hey, they can't go wrong with a Burrito place, right? well, it turns out that you can. When I left, the hired spoke of a vegetarian who they were serving randomly bakon. that should have been my sign to go, but I gave them the advantage of the doubt and remained. Read about the menu, I noticed that it was not on all vegan friendly, and decided to build your own Burrito option. each topping was almost an extra dollar, so my burrito would be quite simple, in contrast to the usual full of sweets I prefer. I asked them to remove the automatic cheese and the acidic cream that comes on their own, and then asked for guac. they told me that the guac had looked sour in it? So I refused. but they still served me a mayonnaise-soaked side of koleslaw, which I did not ask, and the worst of all, they did not even tell me that the rice was cooked in butter! this place does not care about vegans in the smallest, and the restaurant also feels pretty rough and unhealthy. boone has many amazing restaurants and burrito sites - there is no need to visit them.
Hey, guys, don't let you mess. the rice has butter in what makes it difficult to eat here.
Only recently did I find out that their rice wasn't vegan, which is really a shame since the rice is a major part of their dishes. I guess they don't care about vegans and people with milk allergies. It's great if you're a lacto vegetarian but not for vegans. And the food is cheap too. Sigh...
