Casa Rustica - Boone

We visited Boone on the 8th and 9th of September, 2014. Picked a restaurant at random. What a WONDERFUL surprise!!!!! The atmosphere , wait-server , promptness , and attentiveness were suburb ! BUT, and this is a BIG one....the FOOD was out of this world ! With names like BUCCHI and CAMPANARO , we certainly should know. Wish Boone was a little closer to where we live , (Sparta , Tennessee) because it certainly would be worth the drive !! We highly recommend this great restaurant to all who visit Boone , and , should we return at some time in the future , you can bet we will be eating there our entire stay........hopefully , more than two days !!! Thanks for a wonderful meal and an extremely relaxing evening !

? Best Italian in Boone? I want to dine in Casa Rustica every time I visit Boone. The interior provides a homey, relaxed atmosphere of authentic, homely meals. You can feel the 40 years of history when you enter the door. Be generous when you order your appetizers and soups! The filled mushrooms have become a slight favorite of me (Parmesan cheese, sunk tomatoes and bread crumbs---yum!; but Casa Rustica offers a variety of Primi Piatti to keep you back for something new every time. The alfredo dishes also taste amazing. No matter what I'm ordering, I'll leave the restaurant full and happy. Very recommended!

One of the best meals I had for a long time. Great salad, duck, wine and desert. Service was great. Friendly staff and romantic atmosphere. A solid A class. Thank you for a great night and delicious food!

Overall, I enjoyed my experience. The place was very nice, and the staff was very polite. The food was cooked well, but I felt it was very embarrassing. You could definitely use more spices when cooking. The left at home were much better by simply saying a little salt. A star for brutality, an additional star for how well cooked it was, and a third star for the staff. My wife's in a wheelchair, and while I could put her in a table, it was a bit difficult. We felt like we were in the way while we were waiting for a table, and I had a little trouble getting them into the door.

The tea was delightful! While my French onion soup was somewhat disappointing—too vinegary with barely melted cheese—my shrimp cocktail was heavenly. The shrimp were fresh and delicate, accompanied by a sauce that was just right, not too spicy. My husband quickly polished off his shrimp and scallops, while my chicken piccata was so generous in portion that I couldn’t finish it and took half home. The broccoli served as a side was cooked to perfect tenderness. My husband raved about the excellent tiramisu and the impressive beer and wine list. The women's restroom was bright and clean, complete with a changing table. The only hiccup was that the toilet took a while to flush, but the staff reassured me it was due to a specific cycle with the dishwasher. Overall, we had a wonderful time here, and I would recommend bringing everyone—from friends to children—because everyone will have a great experience! Plus, there are plenty of parking spots available in the back.
