Los Arcoiris - Boone

I?ve been to los before and never thought it was all that special. Today I went and was served raw chicken. When my boyfriend and I alerted staff we barely got an apology and offered something else. We just asked if we could leave, it?s unacceptable to serve raw food under any circumstances. I won?t be returning. We saw the health rating was 87.5 and we should have turned around and left but didn?t. Hoping we don?t get sick from the meat we ate before we realized it was raw

The food here is 5 stars. I had the veggie AC with chicken and it was excellent. I can't complain about the service we were given, but I did take off one star because the bar tender had to be the waiter for the entire bar area. He did a good job but he needed help.

The water was good don?t get me wrong, but what I orderd was terrible the salad I got came with black guacamole and spoiled lettuce. I asked for a discount they said they would give me a discount but when I got in my car and did the math I realized they didn?t give me a discount at all for the spoiled food. I guess I have to leave a review sorry for the company?s name but please train your employees to be more honest and to not give people spoiled food you could really get someone sick. Especially if your expecting a baby like I am. Luckily I didn?t eat it.

Our recent visit was a much improved experience from previous visits...more about that later. This time i tried the shrimp street tacos, which were outstanding. The sauce on the side was really hot, but used sparingly gave the tacos a great flavor. My wife had the veggie fajitas which were good but not great. The veggies seemed more like boiled than grilled, but assembled well with some of my hot sauce, they were tasty. Chips and Salsa are solid..maybe i need a couple of their margaritas next time to go with the food. We will definitely try again.

As soon as you open the door, you?re greeted with politeness, friendliness and smiles. Our server Angel?was an angel, indeed!! He took our orders promptly and within 5 minutes he was mixing and serving the BEST margaritas in Boone!! He oferred to take pictures of us as we celebrated my birthday!! The food was amazing, hot and delicious!! The 2nd margarita was just as delicious!! After our meal, we were surprised by the staff singing and clapping as they put a big red sombrero on me. The complimentary birthday dessert was a special touch. You have to try this place for their amazing bar and cocktails, authentic Mexican cuisine but mostly staff that really cares to make you feel at home!!!
