Coastal Prime - Boothbay Harbor

Their executive chef knows what he's doing. Originally from Chicago the food capital of America, he has combined his knowledge from there as well as the mountains out west and combined them with the fresh seafood of the east coast.

Coastal Prime is an elegant restaurant with a beautiful view of the harbor. We had a party of 4, and we were seated inside near the windows. Our server was very attentive and was great with recommendations. I have a dairy allergy and he was extremely helpful in determining what was able to be modified for me. Items ordered were oysters, lobster bisque, and full lobster. The full lobster was opened up so you don't have to do it yourself, which was helpful for those of us who have not done it before! Highly recommend!

Attended the first wedding hosted by Coastal Prime and it was amazing from rehearsal day start to fireworks finish. Staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating, venue was stunning, and celebration level was off the charts. Most definitely Maine's wedding of 2023!

Mid September During a weeklong stay in Boothbay Harbor we had dinner here twice. Food was excellent both times. Only giving it four stars because our service was inconsistent. The first time server disappeared and was only seen when bringing the food. The second time service was excellent. Be aware there are two menus bar and main room. Don’t be afraid to ask for the bar menu in the main dining room.The first time we sat on the outside patio the second time inside the main dining room. Heaters are available if you sit outside.

Coastal Prime stands alone in both its food and the service from the wait staff. Absolutely delicious and my family and I ate there two nights in a row. Best selection of wine I’ve seen in the area and I would not hesitate to return.
