Plantations Restaurant - Booval

The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and the staff is welcoming, but the coffee was quite mediocre.

I recently took a family member out for a celebratory dinner at Chard. The food was absolutely delicious, although it did take a bit longer to be served since we didn't have a reservation. Our waiter was fantastic and made sure we were well taken care of. I highly recommend this place for families, beer enthusiasts, and anyone who enjoys good red meat.

I love Char'd for a variety of reasons. The atmosphere and menu options are excellent. The portion sizes are generous and I have never had a bad meal there. The staff are friendly, making it feel more upscale than just a regular restaurant. We have even tried their takeout and it is just as good as dining in, although you do miss out on the great atmosphere. Overall, Char'd is at the top of my list for restaurants in Ipswich.

Two of my mates and I met for a long Friday lunch after a break of a couple of years because one of us was overseas. We started at midday and finished at about 5:30pm. Being a hotel, there was no problem getting a beer and the 150 Lashes was just right. Lunch was, of course, steak which was just the combination with a nice bottle of red. We finished lunch with a few more beers. The bill was less than $300 which I thought was great. All round, good lunch.

Wow this place has turned around! It had been a while since I'd visited Char'd and I came here twice in November for a graduation celebration and a work Christmas party. The food has really increased in quality and value and the speed has also, thankfully, increased. Where you would sometime spend over an hour waiting for your food on a busy night, the turnaround has definitely improved-you can tell they've worked hard to accommodate demand. Great for large groups!
