Unfortunately, we discovered that the samosas were not vegan, as they contained dairy. The waiter kindly informed us about this, although they mentioned that the dish could not be made vegan. Despite this, I appreciated their knowledge about the ingredients. I ended up ordering the Mediterranean mezze, which was listed as vegan on the menu but came with yogurt. I double-checked with the waiter about the dairy content, and they were unsure so they offered to check with the chef. Unfortunately, they never returned with an answer. Overall, the service was a bit confusing but the food was decent.
We were disappointed that the restaurant did not have a vegetarian option for samosas. We ordered falafel with yogurt, despite specifying that we were vegan.
I thoroughly enjoyed the vegetable samosas with potato and spinach at this restaurant. They paired perfectly with the tomato chutney and a sweet dark sauce that I believe is tamarind. I also noticed they have one other vegan option on the menu, the mezze platter, which I have yet to try.
The kitchen here was very understanding of what vegan is and what the limitations are and they were very accommodating to ensure that we ended up with a great meal. We had the samosas and falafel and both were delicious.
Had not the samosas in Veg option. falafel with yogurt even tho mentioned we were vegan
