We had a great day here. We drove with the tractor for pumpkin and apples. Through the maize labyrinth and the bamboo labyrinth. Well-kept flowers. Played in the children's area. Also a little wine! No bad day at all!
A great place to visit for a family fun day. Live music, wine tasting, Apple picking and pumpkin picking! A free fun tractor ride to any destination. The restaurant is good, but a little expensive per person. Usually visit once a year around autumn.
Great place for a farm entertainment day. We went to the restaurant first and had a good meal. It is a very limited menu of fish or chicken with typical land pages, but they do a good job. There are also hamburgers and ham sandwiches. You also have drinks available for adults. The area has a fish and turtle pond, seasonal and landscape decorations. But we were disappointed that the zoo had no animals. I was there about 20 years ago and they had a petting zoo. There is a hay car ride to the pumpkin patch or you can just walk. Many pumpkins are available in the patch or in the gift shop. The gift shop has a good selection of items. T-shirts, hoodies, many canned and apple butter (restaurant brings a delicious apple butter for your meal), wind chimes, seasonal fruits and many other country gifts. There is also an ice salon in the gift shop, but must be a seasonal or special occasion operation. I didn't visit, but the farm has a winery. You also have special event buildings available. I propose to visit their website for information on all available activities and special events. We visited one Friday and several people were there, but events can be crowded.
It was fun, but doesn't have as much to do as Gallrein Farms, especially for kids. I went with my parents, my sister, her husband and my two nephews, as my husband was working. My nephews did have a good time and we ate at the restaurant, which was good. It's funny, but the kids all seemed to like the plastic Thomas the Train toy (shown in pic) more than anything else. We fed the ducks and the fish even though it seemed like you got 4 tiny pieces of fish food for 50 cents. The corn machines were a bit more generous, but not much. Lines in the store were extremely long, but we expected that for an October Saturday. Overall it was a nice family outing and I know that we'll be back.
