Stop Pizza - BORGO A MOZZANO

Excellent pizza, salads, charcuterie and cheese boards. A local restaurant which was crowded both nights we were there. A good sign since we were in a small town in Tuscany.

On our way through the tuscan countryside we had a stop at this busy pizza place on one of the main fares into Brago a Mozzano. It‘s a modern purpose build shop unit and frequented by Italian business and work people alike. Staff is nice and friendly and the pizzas are as one would wish made to order in a wood fired oven, very thin and with fresh ingredients. If we lived here, we would be regulars.

It 's cheap, it 's cheerful and if you ever wondered what 'proper ' pizza should be like it 's this. You know it 's good because so many locals use it that just a few years ago it was forced to move from a tiny shop about 50 meters away to its current location. My wife and I always make a pilgrimage to Stop Pizza and this year we took the extended family too.

Excellent true Italian pizza. Very quiet inside, a little noisy outside with the traffic passing by, but great local place and the locals made the visiting Americans feel right at home and welcome.
